Chester Valley Chicks
Above is a detail from an envelope I found last month folded up into a small square and used as a core to wrap thread around.
According to my mom, the envelope was likely from the 1930s. My grandma would buy chicks to raise and for a while there was getting them through the mail.
I never knew that chicks or any other live animals could be mailed, but evidently it's still possible.
