groundhog!!!
As Rudy Vallée and Robert Morse would intone on stage & screen.
Or more plainly, the first woodchuck sighting of the year. This past Monday it was.
Long live Chucky . . .

FYI: S&H Green Stamps sign on Flickr
On unterkayness--photo of a freakin' S&H Green Stamps sign found posted on Flickr.
According the Wikipedia entry, S&H Green Stamps made their money from the fact that people didn't bother licking all those Green Stamps and putting them in the redemption books.
I doubt they made much off my mom, who I vaguely recall cashing in what stamps she had for sundry items.

Black Velvet Moses
About 10 years ago, I walked into the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Mercury Blvd. in Hampton VA and saw this painting near the kitchenware.
An El Greco-esque black velvet incarnation of Isaac Hayes as Black Moses.
Indeed, a painting of a photo (this one).
So the above are photos of a painting of a photo--recording one of the better moments in thrift store iconography.
